Manual Therapy
Manual Therapy is a generic term that refers to hands-on therapy.  This type of treatment uses a variety of specialty techniques to improve soft tissue (muscles) mobility & function, articular (joint) function, and the neurodynamics (nerve function) of the human body.  Manual therapy requires more specific testing and evaluative techniques to properly assess and treat specific musculoskeletal dysfunctions.  Low back pain, neck pain, shoulder impingement, rotator cuff injury, and knee injuries are just a few of the common injuries that can benefit greatly from manual therapy.  Muscle Management Therapies owner/operator Chad Brenzikofer has taken nearly 40 different continuuing education courses.  Chad has recently become the first person in the United States to become a certified instructor for Kinetic Control. He is also a certified instructor for its sister company, Performance Stability based out of the United Kingdom.  Kinetic Control and Performance Stability have become one of the most prominent worldwide research and development teams of exercise therapy concepts and clinical synthesization.

*All manual therapy appointments are one hour in length and are $60/hr.

Specialty Services
Blood Lactate Test:  ($85) Lactate testing is rapidly growing in acceptance especially among endurance athletes.  The test entails sampling blood for lactic acid levels every 3 minutes as resistance progressively increases until the point of physical exhaustion.  Heart rate, power, and lactate levels are determined and recorded throughout the test.  With the information gained from the test, heart rate training zones can be determined.  These training zones can then be used to improve training efficiency, prevent burn-out/over-training, and increase performance.   In short, this test identifies the point where your body switches from aerobic work to anaerobic work.  This information is critical to the development of long-term training programs and especially for those with specific performance goals.

Indoor Cycling:  Ride your own bike on real roads!  The Compu-Trainer indoor cycling system allows you to control all variables: Wind, weather, drafting, power/watts, speed, and incline/decline.  This allows you to train the most efficient way possible.  You also have the ability to download any road in the U.S. making it possible to match the topography of a road race you may be doing in the near future.  Why battle the elements in the off-season?  Ride your own bike inside.
